Public event to present the results of the European cross-border project SAVASCO and morning about “Materials and Structures Axis for Sustainable Construction” of the Laboratory of Materials and Sustainability of Constructions (LMDC)

On Tuesday 17 May 2022, the final event of the Interreg POCTEFA SAVASCO project (StructurAtion of a cross-border Value chAin for corn and Sunflower stems of COnstructions) will be held on the Tarbes university campus.

This event will be coupled, in the morning, with a half-day of scientific presentations of the LMDC‘s research work on sustainable construction. These presentations will be open to all: staff of the university site, designers, building companies, representatives of local authorities and the general public, who will be welcomed in the building of the Sustainable Construction Civil Engineering Pole of the IUT of Tarbes.

The afternoon will be dedicated to the presentation of the results of the SAVASCO project as a result of the work carried out jointly by the partners of the cross-border territory between Occitania and Catalonia. A visit to the experimental platforms of the two research laboratories partners of the project (LMDC and LCA-Agromat) and a presentation of the prototype built within the framework of SAVASCO will also be offered to the participants.

The aim of this meeting day is to bring together all the stakeholders who are interested in the bio-based materials sector, as well as to invite institutions, media and the general public to find out about the results obtained in the SAVASCO project on the use of corn and sunflower stalks for construction.

The event is organised to receive a French-Spanish speaking audience and a translation service will be provided for this event.

Registration for the event is compulsory and free within the limit of the number of places available.

You can confirm your attendance at the event on the registration form.
