Formulation, application and characterization of the benefits of use and durability of this complete bioclimatic constructive solution

During the week of June 7-11, the partners of Terre de Bois and LMDC carried out the first wall-scale projection tests in Tarbes.

First, the SCOP Terre de Bois built the wooden / OSB structure to obtain 10 modules 2 m height by 60 cm width and about 15 cm thickness. When this framework was ready, projection tests could begin.

These tests had several objectives:

  • To check the compatibility of the aggregates produced with the spraying technique
  • To know the possibilities and limits of the spraying tool in terms of adjusting the flows of each particular component and be trained in its use
  • To test different formulations, the nature of the binders (clay binder composed of fine washing sand or commercial lime Batichanvre) and the proportions of the different components
  • To produce samples in spray conditions to check the properties in the fresh state and the thermal, mechanical and hygienic characterization in the hardened state in the laboratory
